Title : NNeuroepidemiology: A public health approach to developing health interventions that address comorbid conditions

Abstract:

Throughout the years epidemiological studies have been used to assess the burden of neurological disorders and disease conditions. Although many advancements have been made in the field, not enough data is available on intervention and reduction of the comorbid conditions of neurological disorders and infectious diseases. As neurological disorders grow to become more complex the field of public health is needed to produce effective health intervention strategies.

Research on the burden of neurological disorders is imperative to the increasing need to provide intervention strategies relative to disease conditions that lead to neurological implications. Such risks include increased risks of years of healthy life lost and disability-adjusted life years. The purpose of this study is to examine current data from multiple sources and translate results into intervention strategies. This study examines a list of education and training, implications and preventions and evidenced-based framework for neurological disorders. Through the analyzation of research, this study aims to identify best practices for interventions that will be recommended to address issues identified in the analysis.

What will audience learn from your presentation?

  • Health professionals will be provided knowledge on different public health interventions that can aid in addressing increasing comorbid conditions
  • This research will provide a practical solution that could improve the accuracy of treatment among high-risk populations
  • Health professionals will learn how to prevent neurological diseases and disorders in early stages using a large-scale public health approach
