Biography:
Dr. T. Kishore Kumar is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Head of CTL at NIT Warangal. With a Ph.D. in signal processing (2004), he has held key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of ECE (2015-2017) and Head of the Institute Computer Center (2018-2020) at NIT Warangal. Dr. Kishore Kumar has served as a Visiting Professor at ESIGELEC (France), Tallinn University (Estonia), and the Asian Institute of Technology (Bangkok). He has also contributed as a Technical Officer in the Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, and Government of India. A recipient of numerous awards, including the Best Researcher Award (2024), Best Engineering Researcher Award (2017), and Best Engineering Faculty Award (2023), he has made significant contributions to research, consultancy, and training in Electronics & Communication Engineering. His research interests lie in signal processing, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and biomedical signal processing. He has successfully led multiple R&D projects funded by SERB-DST and DRDO worth over ₹2.5 crores . He has guided 14 Ph.D. scholars, published 44 SCI journal papers includes 6 Q1, 9 Q2, remaining Q3 and Q4 journals, and presented 46 international conference papers. His global engagements include travel and collaborations in Australia, France, Israel, Singapore, and Taiwan. Dr. Kishore Kumar is actively involved in reviewing high-value projects for DRDO, evaluating academic accreditations for NBA and NAAC, and organizing Faculty Development Programs. He is a senior member of IEEE, ISTE, IETE, and IACSIT.
