Title : Rehabilitation of patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain
Abstract:
Chronic pain is the leading cause of disability in the world, causing damage to the global health system and responsible for increasing the risk of cardiovascular dysfunctions in the population, which is the leading cause of death in the world. Conservative treatment is indicated for these patients, with exercise being the best cost-benefit for prevention and treatment. In previous studies, we observed that despite being safe and effective, the prescription and management of pain needs to be considered by clinical parameters and a better understanding of the pathophysiological changes present in these people. The objective of the presentation is to carry out an update of evidence-based practice and what are the pathophysiological changes that can impact the rehabilitation of these individuals, optimizing the importance of programs aimed at preventing Chronic Pain.
