Head of the DGMB (1989-1993 and 2005-2009). Author of 55 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Director of 29 Ph.D. thesis and 43 M. Sc. thesis. Fellow (Level III), National System of Researchers, Mexico (2005-present), member since 1984. Research topics: Expression and function of short dystrophins in cellular models, neural stem cells and CNS.
