Biography:
Cay Anderson-Hanley, is a Principal Investigator of NIH-funded clinical trials, with a focus on innovating pedal-n-play neuro-exergaming to enhance brain health, especially among those with neurological conditions. As a professor of neuroscience, the interactive Physical and Cognitive Exercise System (iPACES) was invented and patented in her lab, in an effort to ameliorate cognitive decline for those with Alzheimer’s and related disorders (ADRDs). This technology has been adapted most recently for those with Parkinson’s Disease and is being evaluated in an ongoing clinical trial. Pilot work has also explored utility for those on the autism spectrum (ASD) as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
