Biography:
Kaviya Devaraja is a second-year master’s student at the University of Toronto in the Institute of Medical Science Program. She is a student in Dr. Gelareh Zadeh’s Macfeeters Neuro-Oncology Lab where she conducts research on improving the overall survival and quality of life of brain tumor patients with Glioblastoma. She is a recipient of the Canadian Graduate Scholarship – Master’s Award and the Michael Kamin Hart Award. She works with the AYA Oncology Program at University Health Network where she strives to create resources and tools for young adult high-grade glioma patients. She volunteers with the Brain Tumor Foundation, Brain Cancer Canada Charity, and the Canadian Cancer Society to advocate for the needs of brain tumor patients.
