Biography:
Dr. Hisham Megahed is Head of the Clinical Genetics Department at the National Research Centre, Egypt, and a medical genetics specialist holding a PhD and an MSc in Paediatrics and Medical Genetics. His academic and clinical work focuses on the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying neurological and paediatric disorders, with particular interests in neurogenetics, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies, neuromuscular disorders, and precision medicine. Through his clinical practice and research, he is committed to advancing genomic medicine and improving the diagnosis, management, and genetic counselling of patients with rare genetic diseases.
