Biography:
Clairisse Whang is a third-year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a graduate of Rutgers University, where she majored in Cell Biology/Neuroscience and Cultural Anthropology. Clairisse is actively involved in her local AMA chapter, the Human Rights Association, and community health initiatives – speifically starting a nutritional gardening initiative at the local homeless shelter, doing 1-on-1 refugee mentoring, and working as a student doctor in the RWJMS uninsured patient clinic. She is pursuing infectious research and her MD with the long-term goal of addressing health disparities and advancing equity through clinical care and health policy.
